Skin probe multiple collector fibres

Lightbox image placeholder
    VP7a Large area skin probe

The large area probe uses 8 collecting fibres positioned in a ring, diameter 2mm, around the central light delivery fibre.

The probe body is a plastic cylinder 30mm high with a 6mm outside diameter.

For use with the PH2 probe holder.

The probe holder can be secured to the skin using a double sided adhesive disc (PAD).

    Cable 3mm outside diameter.

The light collecting area for VP7a type probes is approximately 10 times that of a standard probe.

Note: the large separation of centres of the delivery and collecting fibres (approximately 1mm) will result in collection of light from deeper tissue levels than those measured using the standard 0.5mm separation.

Iontophoresis: used with an ION1-P2 and ION3-P2 chamber
